Robert is an old friend of ours. After completing his BSc thesis with us, he rejoins us for his MSc work. This time he will be working on a very different project with total synthesis of a natural product as the main goal.

Our paper on Z-selective reductions of alkynes in the presence of phosphines and water is out in Organic and Biolomecular Chemistry. Well done Fabia, Denis and You. Our group has started using Chemotion electronic notebook. This effort is a part of the National Research Data Infrastructure project NFDI4Chem. Special thanks to Prof. Christoph Steinbeck and his NFDI4Chem team in Jena and to our colleagues from KIT for sharing their expertise and experience with the new system. We are grateful to Markus Lange, our group Chemotion coordinator, and Michael Duong for daring to be the early adopters and for helping with the implementation. The future is digital!

After a positive tenure evaluation this July, Ivan has accepted and is now appointed to the University Professor position at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. The group is truly grateful for the trust the university leadership has placed in us. We are very excited about continuing our work in research and education, and we look forward to many more productive years in Jena!
